Slider bed



Slider bed conveyors provide a versatile means of handling various shapes and sizes of products with consistent postioning and smooth travel. Applications include: assembly lines, sorting, inspection or general transport.

  • Width (overall): ranges from 17″ to 42″
  • Width (belt): standard 5″ less than overall width
  • Length (overall): ranges from 5′ to 102′
  • Height: supplied with adjustable “H” type supports on nominal 10 ft centres
  • Bed: 3-1/2″ X 12 Ga. galvanized formed steel channel frame bolted together with butt couplings – bed sections are bolted together with splice plates
  • Belt: various – ranging from black PVC to white RMP with clipper lacing or cold spliced endless seam
  • Drive: end drive, underneath (typically)
  • Drive pulley: ranges from 4″ to 8″ diameter with 1″ diameter shaft at bearings – fully lagged and machine crowned for improved tracking
  • Tail pulley: 4″ diameter with 1″ diameter shaft at bearings – machine crowned
  • Take-up: typically 4″ of belt take-up is provided by screw take-up mounted at tail pulley
  • Bearings: sealed, pre-lubricated, self-aligning cast iron ball bearings on drive and tail pulleys

Roller bed

Roller bed conveyors are ideal for applications requiring heavier unit and total live loads than similar-size slider bed belt conveyors. Welded construction and roller bed desigtn allow increased capacity with lower power requirements.

  • Width (belt): 12″ to 36″ in full 6″ increments
  • Length (overall): ranges from 7′ to 102′
  • Belt: black PVC-120 with clipper lacing
  • Height: supplied with 3″ structural channel legs with 4″ adjustment – available up to 89″ top of belt – one support at every bed joint and at ends of conveyor
  • Bed: Roller bed with 1.9 in. dia. x 16 ga. rollers with 7/16 in. hex shafts spaced every 6 inches
  • Frame: 5-1/2″ deep x 10 ga. painted steel channel frames. – standard 5 ft. and 10 ft. long welded sections, with welded-in end couplers
  • Tail Pulley: 4″ Dia. with 1-3/16″ dia. shaft, 6″ dia. with 1-7/16″ dia. shaft, crowned

Line shaft 1.9″

Lineshaft conveyors are used for general case transport with some accumulating properties with limitations. These conveyors offer the greatest flexibility in transmitting drive through an assortment of elements ranging from curves, spurs and straight-running sections –  cost savings result.

  • Width (Between Rail): ranges from 13″ to 39″ in 1″ increments
  • Width (overall): 3″ greater than BFR
  • Length: 120 ft per driven section with drive at the centre
  • Height: supplied with adjustable “H” type supports on nominal 10 ft centres
  • Frame: 5.5″ X 12 gauge galvanized, formed steel channel frame bolted together with butt couplings – rods and turnbuckles are used on every other bed section on lengths exceeding 30 ft. – this insures proper alignment of bed rollers and correct product tracking
  • Rollers: 1.9″ X 16 gauge galvanized tube on 3″ centres (typical)
  • Axles: 7/16″ hex shaft, spring retained
  • Drive: centre-mounted, underneath – motor will extend beyond frame on widths less than 24″ OAW
  • Drive shaft: 1″ diameter steel shaft extends full length of conveyor – Delrin chain coupling at all bed joints
  • Drive spools: 2″ diameter Delrin spool, fixed in position with “snap-on” lock collars
  • Drive guard: easily detachable from underside of drive shaft, mounted the entire length of conveyor
  • Drive o-ring: 3/16″ diameter polyurethane o-ring from drive spool to tread rollers – spares are pre-attached to the inside of the frame
  • Bearings: tread rollers have pre-lubricated ball bearings – drive shaft has sealed, pre- lubricated, self- aligning cast iron ball bearings with eccentric lock collar
  • Speed reduction: sealed worm gear “c” face speed reducer – no. 50 roller chain to drive

Zero pressure – line shaft 1.9″



The lineshaft driven, zero pressure accumulation conveyor is a horizontal live roller conveyor that allows products to accumulate without colliding.

  • Width (between rail): ranges from 13″ to 39″ in 1″ increments
  • Width (overall): 3″ greater than BFR
  • Length: 120 ft per driven section with drive at the centre
  • Height: supplied with adjustable “H” type supports on nominal 10 ft centres
    Frame: 5.5″ X 12 gauge galvanized, formed steel channel frame bolted together with butt couplings – rods and turnbuckles are used on every other bed section on lengths exceeding 30 ft. – this insures proper alignment of bed rollers and correct product tracking
  • Rollers: 1.9″ X 16 gauge galvanized tube on 3″ centres (typical)
  • Accumulation zone: 24″ long is standard – 18″, 30″ and 36″ zone lengths available – each zone is controlled by air logic
  • Sensing roller: 7/8″ dia. x 18 ga. wall aluminum roller – one roller in each accumulation zone – minimum product weight required to depress trigger roller is 5 lbs.
  • Zero pressure options: 1-3/8″ x 16 ga. dia. galvanized rollers on 1-1/2″ centers, slug release, electric sensor instead of sensor rollers

Minimum Pressure – 1.9′

Minimum pressure conveyors are an inexpensive means of accumulating products with minimum (2%) back pressure. The tread rollers are driven by a belt which is forced against the tread roller by a pressure roller.

  • Belt: 6″ wide PVC-120 with clipper lacing. 12″ wide for 32″ between frame and larger
  • Bed: roller bed with 1.9″ dia. x 16 ga. galvanized “pop-out” tread rollers spaced on 3 in. centers and 1.9″ dia. x 16 ga. galvanized pressure rollers spaced on 6″ centers – mounted in 6-1/2″ deep x 1-1/2″ x 12 ga. galvanized steel channel frames – standard 5 ft. and 10 ft. long bolt-together sections with bolt-on end couplers

Gravity – 1.4″ or 1.9″


1- 3/8″ dia. gravity roller conveyor is ideal for carrying lightweight packages or in operations requiring lightweight moveable conveyor sections.

  • Frame: 2-1/2″ deep by 1″ flange x 12 ga. galvanized steel or 1/8″ aluminum channel with bolt-in cross members, spaced every 2 ft – an economy lite line is available with 14 ga. channel frames – 4″ deep channel frames for rollers set low
  • Widths (overall): 12″, 15″, 18″, 21″, 24″, and 30″
  • Lengths: 5 ft. and 10ft straight sections – special lengths available
  • End couplers: gravity hooks on one end – rod on opposite end – all couplings are bolted to frame – bolt-in end couplers also available
  • Rollers: 1- 3/8″ dia. x 18 ga. galvanized or heat-treated aluminum tubing

Chain drive live roller conveyors provide positive drive to heavy unit loads such as loaded pallets, drums and dunnages.

PMC Custom Precision Slider Bed
Precision Slider Bed
Precision slider bed conveyors are used for precise transport and positioning of consumer products and packaged foodstuffs. Applications include package machine integration, food handling and accumulation.

  • Width (overall): 1.0″ greater than specified belt width
  • Width (belt): 6″ to 36″
  • Length (overall): 3′-0″ to 30′-0″
  • Height: supplied with welded tubular “H” supports with polyamide jackscrew feet that provide adjustability of ± 2″
  • Bed: constructed from aluminum extrusion – 80 mm x 40 mm with stainless steel top plate and two return rollers. Can also be constructed as 40 mm x 40 mm.
  • Belt: various – ranging from white PVC to urethane with clipper lacing or cold spliced endless seam
  • Drive: end drive, side

Plastic Belt Conveyor
Plastic belt conveyors are ideal for a wide variety of unit and food handling applications. Applications include packaging, case handling, food handling, accumulation, freezing, drying, cooling, metal detection and wash downs.

  • Belt:  KVP / Habasit or Intralox in open (vented) and solid top, polyethylene or acetal with polypropylene or nylon rods
  • Widths: available 2″ through 96″
  • Frame: 11 or 7 gauge side plates with three sets of welded formed cross members that serve to fasten the rail supports – centre distances not to exceed 36″ – bolt-on (6 bolt) splice plates
  • Height: supplied with welded tubular “H” supports with polyamide jackscrew feet that provide adjustability of ± 2″
  • Belt support: parallel UHMW profiles will be fastened to cross-members with stainless steel two piece clamp nuts – centre distance between profiles not to exceed 6″
