General:

• Bag width: no specified range.
• Bag length: no specified range – dependent upon customer’s product transport system.
• Seal style:
  • 1/8″ wide final trim seal with trim 1/4″ above.
  • 3/8″ wide final trim seal with trim 1/8″ above.
• Materials accepted: Polyethylene, polypropylene, foil poly, kraft poly, laminations, Tyvek, Mylar, and shrink films. Polypropylene seals without angel hairs.
• Carry belt speeds: Variable with the incorporation of an AC motor controller with speeds up to 100 fpm. Sealing bands are manually synchronized to drive of transport conveyor.
• Carry belts: Two sets of ½” wide urethane flat belts that are located on either side of the seal bands. This ensures that the substrate is positively held during all phases of sealing and trimming.
• Seal band: ½” wide X 40″ long x 8 mil., medium-duty Teflon sealing bands with reinforced butt splice.
• Trim belts: One set of ½” wide timing belts that are located on the inside of the trim knife. In addition, one set of 3/8″ wide timing belts are located on the outside of the trim knife. This ensures that the substrate is positively held, and put under tension during the trimming phase.
• Sealing drive: Heavy duty gears and stainless-steel shafting throughout.
• Sealing assembly: One heating and cooling section is provided to transfer the thermal energy to seal and then remove it. Each assembly consists of chrome plated brass seal bars with a nickel-plated cooling section. Heating section consists of a 5″ long lower bar with a 305 W element and two 2-1/2″ long upper bars, each with a 125 W element.
• Headroom: Trim takes place after sealing and therefore the sealing head will accommodate up to 6″ of bag above the seal centre-line.
• Sealing head adjustment: Crank handle vertical positioning of sealing head can be varied through a total range of 10″.
• Temperature control: A digital readout temperature controller is supplied with maximum temperature 500 degrees F and repeatability of +/- 2 degrees.
• Scrap removal:
  • Supplied with ½ Hp vacuum blower, 120 VAC with 5″ flexible hose and stainless steel square flanged nozzle at inlet. Scrap is directed into a 3 ft long knit bag.
  • Supplied with 1 Hp vacuum blower, 120 VAC with 6″ flexible hose and stainless steel square flanged nozzle at inlet. Scrap is directed into a 3 ft long knit bag.
• Trim: Long life, titanium nitride coated, 2″ diameter, counter-rotating knife blade is located at the discharge following sealing.
• Footprint dimensions: 30″ W x 24″ D (approximate)
• Air supply: No compressed air required.
• Compatibility: Designed to operate with all Speedy Bag Packager models and fully automatic bag loaders.

Structure:

• Stand is constructed from welded, structural steel tubing with polyamide levelling pads.

• The sealing head is USDA approved.
